De-Esser Series

Here comes the De-Esser!

The De-Esser is a super versatile Audio Effect Rack for Ableton Live, requiring only native Live Devices.

As Ableton Live doesn't come with a native De-Esser, even if a De-Esser is a very important Tool for Voice Processing and Vocal Editing, I just made one myself.

The NEW Simple De-Esser uses EQ Three to split the incoming Audio Signal into two Frequency Bands. You can solo the Low Band or the Esses, to set the Frequency and Threshold, above which the De-Esser will work, directly from the Macro Page. (Thus, no need to open the Rack and Soloing the Chains for Auditioning the different Portions of the Audio Signal.)

The NEW De-Esser uses EQ Eight to split the incoming Audio Signal into three Frequency Bands. You can set the Threshold and the Frequency above and below the De-Essing will be applied, directly from the Macro Page. You can also solo the Esses using the Solo Esses Knob. But as you already need the Standard Version to use this Rack anyway, you can simply solo the Hi or Low Band on the Chain page, to set the Crossover Frequencies.

The NEW Advanced De-Esser also uses EQ Eight to split the incoming Audio Signal into three Frequency Bands, but it also allows to control much more Parameters of the De-Esser.

Requires Ableton Live 11.2 Intro/Standard (or higher).
